‘Would You Rather’ Tag

Thanks to Rosema of A Reading Writer for tagging me, this seems like so much fun!

Would you rather only read trilogies or only read standalones?

I guess I would rather read only trilogies, if I ever had to choose between them and standalones. But in reality I would rather read series like for example A song of Ice and Fire series or even any series by Julie Kagawa with five or six books in each series. Not that I have anything against standalones and trilogies is just that most of my favorite books are neither standalones nor trilogies.

★Would you rather only read male or female authors?

This one is rather difficult. Mainly because I don’t care if an author is male or female, I just read a book and that’s all. But if I were to choose between only reading male authors and female authors I would choose to read only male authors. I’m telling this after analyzing all the books I’ve ever read and then I selecting my favorite books. Most of my favorite books were written by male authors.

★Would you rather shop at Barnes and Noble or Amazon?

Where I live Barnes and Noble doesn’t exist, sadly. So obviously my answer would have to be Amazon.

★Would you rather books were made into TV shows or movies?

Considering all the books turned into movies and how badly those movies were, in most of the time though there might be some movies that weren’t so bad (The books will always be better!), I would rather choose that books were turned into TV shows. I’m going to take A song of Ice and Fire as an example here. It was turned into a TV show in which each books was turned into a season and the TV show was really good. Not better than the books but it wasn’t that far, unlike movies that make readers want to burn their eyes after seeing them.

★Would you rather read only 5 pages per day or 5 books per week?

I don’t have to think twice about this. If I could only read five pages a day it would take me forever to finish a book. Let me calculate, if a book is about 300 pages then it would take two months to finish a book. Then I could only read six books per year. So no, I would rather read five books per week (though I don’t think I have enough time to make it come true, sadly)

★Would you rather be a professional author or reviewer?

I would rather be a professional author. Becoming an author and having my book published is one of my dreams. But of course, for that I would need to finish my book first instead of spending hours imagining the perfect outfit for each of my characters.

★Would you rather be a librarian or a bookseller?

I guess would rather be a librarian, that way I can be surrounded by thousand of books. I mean, how cool is that? But a bookseller wouldn’t be bad either.

★Would you rather only read your favorite genre, or every other genre but your favorite?

This is also a difficult one. Reading only favorite genre would mean that I would always have something I know I would like to read, but it would also mean that I would never pass through the joy of reading a book that you didn’t thought was going to be good but turns to be one of the best books you’ve read. Yet, sadly, I would rather stick to what I know I’m going to like.

★Would you rather only read ebooks or physical books?

If it were for me I would buy only physical books and they would be my treasure, but I can’t. Because I don’t have the space to store all the books I’ve read and the books I’m going to read and because in my country is difficult to find books in English so I have to buy ebooks.
